Md. Siraj reports corrupt approach during Ind vs Aus series ahead of IPL 2023: Report

Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has reported a ‘corrupt approach’ to BCCI’s Anti-Corruption Unit from an anonymous man, who wanted some inside information after losing a lot of money while betting.

As per reports Siraj was approached during the ODI series between India and Australia in March, just before the IPL 2023 began, and promptly reported the matter to ACU officials.

“It was not a bookie who approached Siraj. It was a driver from Hyderabad who is addicted to betting on matches. He had lost huge money and approached Siraj for inside information,” PTI quoted.

The report further claimed that Siraj immediately reported the approach and the law enforcement authorities nabbed the accused.
