I May Not Survive: Martyr DSP Humayun Bhat’s Last Call To Wife, Father

Jammu and Kashmir: Deputy Superintent of Jammu and Kashmir Police Humayun Bhat had called his wife, father after sustaining gunshots in Gadole forests in the Kokernag area of Anantnag district.
As per fresh reports, moment before succumbing to the injuries, martyr Humayun Bhat made a video call to his wife, Fatima and informed her that he may not survive.

Bhat was profusely bleeding and had couple of bullet injuries from Pakistan-based terrorists.
“I may not survive. If I succumb to my injuries, please take care of our son,” Humayun Bhat told Fatima over the video call.
Shortly before calling his wife, Humayun Bhat called his father – Retired IG Ghulam Hassan Bhatt – informing him that he was injured but said that he was ‘okay.’
Notably, DSP Humayun Bhatt was among three officers leading the anti-terror operations from the front. An Army Colonel commanding a battalion and a Major were killed in a gunfight with terrorists in Kokernag in Anantnag district on Wednesday.

Lashkar-e-Taiba affiliated terror outfit The Resistance Front has claimed responsibility for the attack.
