Viral Video Shows Naked Women Paraded, Sexually Assaulted By Manipur Mob; No Arrest Yet

Manipur: In a chilling video that has now gone viral on internet – two women from the Kuki-Zomi community were seen being paraded naked by a mob of men and sexually assaulted, on Wednesday.
Shocking Details :
Police has claimed that the incident took place on May 4 in Thoubal district and that zero FIR for abduction, gangrape and murder against ‘unknown armed miscreants’ was registered two months ago on May 18 in Kangpokpi district.
The police have confirmed that no arrest has taken place so far in the case. As per The Indian Express, the incident had taken place in the Meitei-dominated valley district of Thoubal, but zero FIR was registered Kangpokpi district.
What exactly happened with two women on May 4?
As per complainant, while the video shows two women, there was another woman in her 50s who was also forced to take off her clothes by the mob.
In her complaint, the complainant alleged that five members of the village – three woman and two men – had fled towards the forest after a ‘group of 800-1000 person carrying sophisticated weapons like AK Rifles, SLR, INSAS and .303 Rifles’ stormed into the village and started looting and burning the houses on May 4 afternoon.
The cruelty with women:
The victim disclosed that the family was rescued by the police and were being taken to the police station, but were stopped on the way by a mob and seized from police custody around two KMs away from police station.
The victim revealed that one of the family members (man) was killed on the spot while all ‘three women were physically forced to remove their clothes and were stripped naked in front of the mob’ after which they alleged that the youngest was raped in front of the others.
She also alleged that her brother was killed while he was trying to help her.

The escape:
She also revealed that three women were able to escape through the adjoining hill district of Tengnoupal and are currently in relief camps.
