Manipur CM Fears Foreign Involvement Behind Ethnic Clashes; Calls For ‘Forgive And Forget’

The Chief Minister of Manipur N Biren Singh has hinted towards involvement of an external force in the ongoing situation in northeastern state.

Day after shutting down the call for his resignation, Manipur CM coined the possibilities of foreign hand in ongoing clashes in the state.

Manipur shares its border with Myanmar, China is also nearby. As far as 398 Km of our border are porous and unguarded. There are security forces deployed on our frontiers, but even a robust and extensive security deployment can’t protect

Going by what’s happening we can neither deny nor vehemently affirm. It seems pre-planned but the reason is not clear,” the Manipur Chief Minister said.

Singh also claimed that Centre and State machineries are doing everything to restore peace in the state, and that he had talked to Kuki brothers to ‘Let’s forgive and forget.’
