WATCH: Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan Calls Tribal Labourer ‘Sudama’

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan referred the tribal labourer – who was urinated on by Parvesh Shukla – as ‘Sudama’ – the beloved friend of Lord Krisha.

A day after Parvesh Shukla was arrested under SC/ST Act, MP CM called the tribal labourer to his official residence and washed his feet.

“The incident has deeply saddened me. You are like my Sudama to me. Dashmat you are now my friend,” Shivraj Singh Chouhan said.

Who was Sudama?

As per legends, Sudama – a Brahmin, was a childhood companion and devotee of Lord Krishna. They remained great friends despite differences in their social status.

As Krishna was a king and Sudama lived a life in poverty. Their friendship still remains a benchmark.
