Lucknow Super Giants Approaches Justin Langer For Head Coach Role, Discussions Underway: Report

Former Australian captain Justin Langer is likely to be the head coach of IPL franchise Lucknow Super Giants.
What we know:
As reported by Cricbuzz, franchise has approached Langer and several round of discussion is going on between both the stakeholders.
While reports has also suggested that there will be no other change in the supporting staff – Morne Morkel (bowling coach), Jonty Rhodes (fielding coach) and Vijay Dahiya (assistant coach) likely to continue.
Langer to succeed Andy Flower:
Andy Flower’s two-year contract is coming to an end next season and franchise is reportedly looking toward someone with an experience of winning such competitive tournament.
Flower did reasonably well as LSG head coach in two seasons of the IPL. In both the seasons, Lucknow qualified for the playoffs but could not reach to the finals.

Langer is regarded as one of the successful coach in the world cricket as he guided Australia to its maiden T20 World Cup in 2021 and helped Perth Scorchers to win Big Bash title thrice.
