Parliament Monsoon Session: Lok Sabha Speaker Accepts No-Confidence Motion On Manipur Issue

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has accepted the notices seeking no-confidence motion against Narendra Modi government on Wednesday. Earlier, Congress and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) submitted the notices.

The Speaker will now soon announce the date of debate. Congress’ deputy leader in Lok Sabha, Gaurav Gogoi, submitted a notice to the Lok Sabha Secretary General’s office.

Meanwhike, a separate notice for a no-confidence motion was submitted by Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) floor leader Nageshwar Rao to the speaker.
