Kareena Kapoor Pens Heartfelt Not As ‘The Buckingham Murders’ Premieres In London

Kareena Kapoor, basking in the success of her digital debut in ‘Jaane Jaan,’ is all set for her next venture, ‘The Buckingham Murders.’ Directed by Hansal Mehta, the film recently premiered at the 67th BFI London Film Festival.

In an Instagram post, Kareena shared her excitement about playing the character of Jasmeet Bhamra, a detective, in the film. She expressed her anticipation to embody a detective character, a role she’s been eager to play for over two decades.

The film’s journey began when Hansal and Ektaa Kapoor provided Kareena with a 25-page synopsis of the project. Kareena, reading it at 1 a.m., immediately felt a deep connection with the character.

‘The Buckingham Murders’ is a slightly unconventional film that combines heart, humor, and poignant moments. After its premiere at the British Film Institute, Kareena, who marks her debut as a producer, expressed a mix of nervousness and excitement as the film embarks on its cinematic journey.

Ektaa Kapoor, co-producer of the film, also shared stills from the movie’s London premiere and expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming response.

Kareena’s return to the big screen follows her appearance in ‘Laal Singh Chaddha,’ which faced a box office setback. She made her digital debut in the Netflix thriller ‘Jaane Jaan,’ directed by Sujoy Ghosh, featuring Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat in key roles.
