Jasprit Bumrah likely to miss WTC final due to injury

In a big blow to Team India, Indian pacer spearhead Jasprit Bumrah is likely to be ruled out of the World Test Championships due to injury.
Sources in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have indicted that Bumrah, who is already out since last year, is not feeling comfortable and is expecting longer recovery process.
Cricbuzz has reported that BCCI is willing to ready Jasprit Bumrah for ODI World Cup in October-November.
Bumrah last played for the country in a T20I against Australia, on September 25 last year and recent reports hinted that National Cricket Academy authorities in Bengaluru have not cleared Bumrah for national call.
Earlier reports claimed that Bumrah will play the IPL and BCCI will keep a close watch on his workload management. But fresh reports have confirmed that BCCI and NCA will not chalk out new plan for Bumrah’s recovery.
Meanwhile, Team India is on the brink of qualification for the World Test Championship final after beating Australia in first two Test matches of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. With a win in third Test, Team India will confirm its berth for the second time on the trot.
