New Delhi: Although Indian skipper Rohit Sharma casted doubts on Jasprit Bumrah’s return in Ireland series, BCCI secretary Jay Shah has confirmed that Indian speedster is completely fit and he will be seen in action during Ireland tour.

Team India is all set to compete with Ireland in 3 T20 internationals, starting from August 18, and the bilateral is being looked closely by everyone as Jasprit Bumrah will be making his highly-anticipated comeback.

Jay Shah on Jasprit Bumrah:

“Bumrah is completely fit, and he may be part of the Ireland series,” Shah said.

The 29-year-old has been on the sidelines since September last year as he has hit by back injury. The right-arm pacer went through a back surgery in March and has been subsequently recuperating at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.

Rohit Sharma on Jasprit Bumrah:

Ahead of the 1st ODI vs WI, Rohit Sharma spoke about Bumrah’s comeback and said the management is in touch with the NCA officials.

“He is coming back from a long injury and I don’t know whether he will play in the Ireland T20Is. But we will try to give him as much game time as possible before the World Cup,” Rohit Sharma said.
