Khatta Meetha (2010):

In this comical cum thriller, Mr. Ahlawat plays the role of a corrupt local politician who would go to any extent to get what he wants.

While Khatta Meetha was Ahalwat’s second Bollywood movie, he established his character very well, despite sharing screen with mega-star Akshay Kumar and several other veterans. Mr. Ahlawat’s villainous character was widely hated by the audience while his acting received a lot of recognition.

Chittagong (2012):

Jaideep Ahlawat marked his arrival with this Bedabrata Pain’s 2012 historical war drama, based on the 1930 Chittagong armory raid. Apart from Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt, Jaideep Ahlawar too nailed his acting while essaying the role of Khalid Mir, who trained Sehmat (Alia Bhatt) before sending her off to Pakistan.

He brought a lot of grit and seriousness to the character, and his close-to-perfect roles added much-needed depth to the film.

Gangs of Wasseypur (2012):

The Anurag Kashyap-directed masterpiece will go down in the history books as one of the most critically acclaimed movies in Indian cinema. Ahlawat played an important role of Shahid Khan – the character which in real life gave a glimpse of what’s in store in the two-part crime drama.

Ahlawat literally nailed his acting and instantly rose to fame.

Patallok (2020):

If Wasseypur provided Mr. Ahlawat, a perfect blend of unconventional and commercial cinema, Patallok marked Ahalawat’s arrival on OTT platform.
