It Is Now About Giving Shreyas Game Time: Rahul Dravid

While KL Rahul has failed to prove his fitness for the first two games of the Asia Cup 2023, middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer stepped up at the right time and attained full match fitness ahead of the crucial tournament.

Indian head coach Rahul Dravid on Tuesday, August 29 confirmed that Shreyas is full-fit and has spent enough time in the field during preparatory camp in Alur.

“He has looked good. He has had no issues. It has been pretty straight forward with him. He has come in and played. It is just now about us giving him game time. What is has actually missed is matches which he can hopefully give him in the Asia Cup and Australia series to build him up for the World Cup,” he said.

The head coach further said Shreyas has done everything well in terms of fitness.
