ISL: ATK Mohun Bagan to be renamed as Mohun Bagan Super Giants

March 18, Saturday was not just a usual day for ATI Mohun Bagan fans. Not just their favorite football team registered their maiden ISL title by beating Bengaluru FC on penalties, but their long demand was heard and implemented to make it reality. 

Club owner Sanjeev Goenka made the announcement after the final that ATK Mohun Bagan will be rechristened Mohun Bagan Super giants from the next season onwards.

“We were waiting on the cards. We were waiting to win the ISL final and then make the announcement,” said Mr. Goenka.
