ISI-backed module busted by Special Cell, held juvenile tasked to eliminate actor Salman Khan

ISI-backed Babbar Khalsa International conspired sensational RPG attack at the Intelligence Headquarters in Mohali, Punjab, on May 9 2022. The Special Cell of Delhi Police has busted the international module by apprehending two dreaded gangsters actively working at the behest of Pakistan-based Khalistani terrorist Harvinder Singh aka Rinda, and Canada-based gangster turned terrorist Lakhbir Singh Landa.

The Counter Intelligence and Special Cell team, led by ACP Rahul Vikram and under the supervision of DCP Manishi Chandra (Special Cell), unearthed elements involved in terror activities across the North Indian States, including Delhi – NCR. A rocket-propelled grenade was fired at the Punjab Police’s intelligence headquarters in Mohali, Punjab, on May 9, 2022; several security agencies across the country shared details of the incident and of the suspects.

“After initial technical leads were stabilized, intensive technical and manual efforts, along with the deployment of local informers, were resorted to tracing the suspects and apprehension of the accused Arshdeep and CCL from Jamnagar, Gujarat,” said DCP Special Cell, Delhi Police.

The officer further informed that JCL, along with absconding Deepak Surakhpur and Monu Dagar (in jail), was tasked to eliminate film actor Salman Khan by Lawrence Bishnoi. “During the investigation, agencies established that the attack was a conspiracy of Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), backed by Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and local gangsters,” said DCP.

“The attackers were identified as a juvenile, a native of Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh and Deepak, a resident of Gorakhpur, Haryana. We also learnt that a gangster orchestrated the attack turned ISI stooge, Harvinder Singh. The involvement of fugitive gangster Lakhbir Singh Landa and Harvinder Singh @ Rinda for the workforce, logistics and resources was concluded,” added officer.

As per Special Delhi, Delhi Police, the apprehended juvenile is also wanted in the murder of builder Sanjay Biyani, which took place on April 4, 2022, in Nanded city of Maharashtra, and the murder of gangster Rana Kandowalia, outside a private hospital in Amritsar on August 4, 2021. While the other arrested accused, identified as Arshdeep, is wanted in the IED recovery case of Shahabad, Kurukshetra and the IED recovery case of PS Sirhali, Tarn Taran, Punjab, along with other narcotics and arms supply cases.
