Potential To Disturb Law And Order: Internet Snapped In Nuh Ahead Of Shobha Yatra

Haryana: In the wake of Shobha Yatra call in Haryana, state government on Saturday ordered a suspension of mobile internet and bulk SMS services in the community charged Nuh till August 28.
The government announced the decision to suspended internet to curb spread of rumours through social media by anti-social media elements ahead or during the rally called to be held on Monday.
Massive-violence had earlier broke out during Shobha Yatra by Vishwa Hindu Parishad and other Hindu outfits after Yatra was attacked by a mob on July 31.
Deadly violence in previously held Shobha Yatra
Six people, including two home guards and a cleric had died in Nuh.

“This order is issued to prevent disturbance of peace and public order in the jurisdiction of district Nuh and shall be in force with effect from August 26, 1200 hrs to August 28, 2359 hrs,” the order issued by Prasad read.
In the order, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) T V S N Prasad said that there is a potential of disruption of public utilities, damage to public assets and amenities and disturbance of law and order.
