IndiGo Srinagar-Jammu Flight Enters Pakistan Airspace Amid Bad Weather; Lands Safely in Amritsar
In a surprising turn of events, Indigo airlines on Sunday confirmed that its flight 6s-2124 from Srinagar-Jammu entered in Pakistan’s airspace for a while, but was diverted to Amritsar.
The airline said that flight was forced to enter Pakistani airspace due to bad weather. “IndiGo 6e-2124 entered in Pakistan airspace for a while due to bad weather and the flight was diverted to Amritsar,” ANI quoted IndiGo officials.
The IndiGo official further confirmed that authorities in both the countries were informed before the flight 6e-2124 entered the Pakistan airspace. The flight was about to land at Jammu airport but due to bad weather it was asked to divert to Amritsar.
As the official got the nod for clear weather, the flight landed safely in Amritsar.
