India’s First UPI ATM Unveieled At Global Fintech Fest, Piyush Goyal Reacts

Mumbai: The Unified Payments Interface (UPI) – used for immediate money transfer and payment methods via mobile phones has established itself one of the fastest-growing payment mode in the country.
On Tuesday, a revolutionary UPI ATM was unveiled at the Global Fintech Fest in Mumbai. Dubbed as ‘India’s First UPI ATM’, aims to eliminate the need to carry physical ATM cards and is hailed by internet users as a game changer.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal posted a video on X, showing Ravisutanjani, a Fintech Influencer, demonstrating how to withdraw cash from an ATM using UPI.
While sharing the video, Mr. Goyal wrote, “UPI ATM: The Future of fintech is here!”

In the video, Mr. Ravisutanjani demonstrates how one can withdraw the cash from the ATM without physical ATM card, instead by using UPI QR Code.

Recently, UPI achieved a remarkable milestone by crossing 10 billion transactions in a month. The total number of UPI transactions reached all-time high of 10.58 billion in August.
