Harmanpreet Kaur Fined 75 Percent Match Fee; Received 3 Demerit Points – Details Inside

A day after Harmanpreet Kaur hit the stumps and argued with the on-field umpire after given out in 3^rd ODI against Bangladesh, Indian skipper has been fined 73 percent of her match fee and 3 demerit points.  

As reported by Cricbuzz, Harmanpreet has been found guilty of Level 2 offence. “For the on-field incident, she will be fined 50 percent of her match fee while for the way she represented herself her in the presentation ceremony, she will be fined 25 percent of her match fee,” official told Cribuzz.

“For the on-field incident (smashing the wicket) she will be fined 50 percent of her match fee while for the way she represented herself her in the presentation ceremony, she will be fined 25 percent of her match fee,” the official said.

The right-handed batter smashed stumps with her bat and had a heated exchange with umpire Tanvir Ahmed after being given out leg-before.

She even expressed her disappointed with the umpire by terming it ‘pathetic.’ Harmanpreet Kaur received 2 demerit points for her on-field action while on de-merit points for her remarks on umpires at the presentation ceremony.
