Bangalore: Although Virat Kohli (101*) played yet another spectacular knock in a must-win game for his side, Royal Challengers Bangalore on Sunday evening at Chinnaswamy stadium, Shubman Gill made his century count as the young prodigy guided his side to a comprehensive victory.

Gill’s 104 came at a time when RCB desperately needed a win in order to qualify for the playoffs, but disappointing performance from the middle-order and poor bowling displayed meant RCB crashed out of the cash-rich league, one more time. Notably, RCB is one of the rare teams which are yet to lift the title in the history of IPL.
