If I become CM, will ask people to not use Amul Milk: Congress leader Siddaramaiah

Karnataka: Amid reports of possible merger between Gujarat-based dairy cooperative Amul and Karnataka-based Nandini, senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah said if he become CM he would urged people not to use Amul Milk.
“Amul should stick to its present consumer base. By entering Karnataka it is trying to cause injustice to the local farmers. That’s why we will oppose the entry of Amul. If I become the CM, I will ask people not to buy Amul Milk,” former Karnataka CM said while speaking at the India Today Karnataka Roundtable 2023 on Saturday.
The senior Congress veteran future claimed that Nandini is as good as Amul in terms of quality.
Gujarat-based cooperative Amul on April 5 announced that it will enter the dairy market in Karnataka to supply its curd and milk.
