I was just 17, that was quite a nightmare: Rani Mukerji on Kuch Kuch Hota Hain

Rani Mukerji remains one of the most loved and adored Bollywood actresses of all time. She recently opened up on her struggle while shooting for iconic dance number ‘Koi Mil Gays’ from ‘Kuch Koch Hota Hain.’

While speaking at the Hello! Awards on April 16, Rani revealed how she managed to dance at the iconic dance number in an extremely short dress at the age of 17.

Firstly, Kajol said that she was amazed to see her in such a short dress at that time and wondered how she will be able to move herself.

“It does not look like she can move anything. But she was brilliant, flawless and was so very graceful,” Kajol said. Additionally, Rani revealed that she just went with the flow.

“The honest answer is I don’t know myself. I was only 17-years-old and till such time, I hadn’t worn such a short dress in my life. So when Karan and Manish Malhotra presented the outfit to me, it was down which kept getting shorter till I reach the set,” she said.

She further claimed that she got lot of support from Karan and entire team.

“I had lot of support from Karan, choreographer Farrah Khan, Shahrukh Khan and Kajol. But I was petrified walking on that platform because all the boys and girls were below, looking up, so that was quite a nightmare. When I saw myself in the screen I was also shocked,” she concluded.

Kuch Hota Hain-starring Rani Mukerji, Kajol and Shahrukh Khan remains one of the most iconic and cult classic Hindi movie. Directed by Karan Johar, KKHH was a romantic movie revolves around three college going buddies – Shahrukh, Rani and Kajol.
