I keep assesing, always involved: MS Dhoni on his strategy in intense games

Bengaluru: The 24^th game of the Indian Premier League 2023 brought two most fierce sides up against each other at charged Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru. While the game went down to the wire with MS Dhoni-led CSK registering their third win in the season, CSK skipper made an interesting revelation about his strategy during such tight matches after the game.

While speaking at post-match presentations, MS Dhoni opened about his ways to stay in the game and not let the winning possibility slip away.

“I keep assessing from behind the wicket, I am always involved in what needs to be done rather than thinking about the result,” Dhoni said.

On asked how he is handling young bowlers in the squad, MS Dhoni admitted that it is difficult for the youngster, especially at this time of the year with the dew around.

“They are working hard. Bravo is one of the specialists. Under him, the bowlers will gain confidence, it’s a team game. The coach, the bowling coach, and the senior players guide them,” MS Dhoni added. While batting first, MS Dhoni-led side posted 226-runs on the board in the 1^st innings.

Devon Conway (83 off 45) and Shivam Dube (52 off 27) stole the show with the incredible knock as they played crucial knocks for the side. In response, Faf-du-Plessis-led RCB fell short of just 8-runs in the 2^nd innings.
