How Virat Kohli embarrassed himself in his first meeting with Anushka Sharma

Former RCB captain and among the most decorative batters in the current crop of cricketers in IPL, Virat Kohli got candid with yet another RCB legend AB de Villiers on Tuesday.

In conversation with his close friend and former teammates, Virat Kohli got comfortable and revealed how he got nervous when he first met his wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma.

“I remember I was so, so tensed before walking on the set of the ad shoot in 2013. I was thinking ‘how I am going to say hi to her? What am I going to say?’ I was so completely out of it. I went there 5 minutes before her. I did not realise how tall she was,” Virat said.

The Indian batter further revealed how he put himself in an embarrassing situation by asking Anushka a weird question. “The first thing I told her when I saw her heel was ‘Didn’t you get anything higher to wear’? Kohli said during his chat with De Villiers.

“She was like ‘excuse me?” It was so bad; I was so nervous. But then the shoot went on and I kind of figured out, along the whole day, she was a pretty normal person,” Virat added.
