Honour Killing: Boy strangulated and dumped in nala for having affair with the daughter

Telangana: In a shocking turn of events, an 18-year-old man has been murdered allegedly by the agitated family members of his lady love near a graveyard at Lower Tank Bund in Telangana on October 8. The murder is subjected to be a matter of honour killing as initial findings in the case indicate that the accused family was against the love affair between the deceased and a daughter of the family.

Reportedly, shocking murder occurred five days back, and the boy’s dead body is yet to be ascertained. The deceased was a native of Kodair in Nagarkurnool district, and his family shifted to Patancheru in search of livelihood a few years ago.

Local police have informed the media that the deceased came in contact with a teenage girl a few months back and started meeting each other without knowing the family members. According to local police, the girl’s stepmother caught her chatting with the youth on WhatApp and alerted her father.

“The girl’s father got furious over the affair and slapped his daughter several times. He immediately called his elder brother to the house and discussed the matter. They together decided to eliminate the boy,” Patancheru police said. The police further narrated the incident, which took place on October 7 in Gandhi Nagar.

“The girl’s brother manhandled her and forced her to call the victim to their house in Gandhi Nagar. She was forced to call her lover into the house by stating that there was no one in the house. The victim told the girl he had no money for transport, but the accused family sent him money through an e-wallet. The victim was further told to come to Ameerpet, where he met her and her family. The accused took him to Lower Tank Bund and sent the girl home with her stepmother,” informed the police.

The members of the accused family took him to the graveyard nearby Lower Tank Bund and throttled him to death in the early hours of October 8, police added. The deceased’s body was reportedly dumped in Hussainsagar Nala near the graveyard. The deceased’s family lodged a missing complaint, and accordingly, police cracked the shocking murder, which is subjected to honour killing. Further investigation is underway, and the deceased body is yet to be traced.
