Here’s why Jr. NTR and Ram Charan didn’t perform ‘Naatu Naatu’ at OSCARS 2023 stage
RRR’s Naatu Naatu is hogging lot of limelight all the right reasons. While the song bagged OSCARS for its unique composition and extraordinary choreography, the live performance of the dance number was cherry on the cake at OSCARS 2023.
What could have made it better was the performance from RRR-star Jr. NTR and Ram Charan in Los Angeles.
But fresh reports have claimed that the duo were supposed to performance at the prestigious stage and were approached by the organisers. However, the plan was to have them both groove to the song, but the duo backed out due to several reasons.
Producer Raj Kapoor told The Academy that the two stars didn’t feel comfortable in recreating the viral dance number on the stage.
“Originally, the two leads were going to be the stars of the number alongside the singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava. The show was very instrumental in helping to get them working visas to come to the US to be part of the performance,” Mr. Kapoor said.
The producer further revealed that Jr. NTR and Ram Charan didn’t feel comfortable performing live number on stage. “The change was brought on because of their other professional commitments and the limited amount of time to rehearse,” he said.
