Harmanpreet Kaur Could Have Shown Manner: Bangaldesh Skipper Nigar Sultana – Details Inside

Dhaka: Bangladesh skipper Nigar Sultana has lashed out at Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur after latter hit the stumps and argued with on-field umpire following her dismissal during 3rd ODI vs Bangaldesh in Dhaka on Friday.

In the 34th of India’s run chase of 226, Harmanpreet Kaur was given out at slip off Nahida Akter while attempting a sweep. What followed was shocked everyone as Harmanpreet Kaur hit the stumps with the bat after being given out and then had verbal altercation with the on-field umpire before walking off.

Reacting to the incident, Bangladesh skipper advised her Indian counterpart to show some manners as cricket is a game of discipline and respect.

It is totally her problem. I have nothing to do with it. As a player, she could have shown some better manners. Cricket is a game of discipline and respect,” she said in post-match press conference.

Meanwhile, Harmanpreet Kaur expressed her disappointment with the umpiring during 3-match tour as she termed it ‘pathetic.’

The type of umpiring that was happening there, we were very surprised. The next time whenever we are coming to Bangladesh, we’ll have to make sure we have to deal with this kind of umpiring and accordingly, we’ll have to prepare ourselves,” she said.
