Hansal Mehta Signs Multi-Year Series Partnership With Netflix

Banking on the recent success of hard-hitting crime drama series ‘Scoop’ – Hansal Mehta has signed a multi-year series partnership with digital streaming giant Netflix.

As reported by Variety, Mehta will now create multiple series for Netflix over the next few years.

“As a filmmaker, the idea of creative diverse and dynamic stories constantly keeps me on my toes. What excited me about this partnership with Netflix, which is home to some of the finest talent, is the potential for my work to reach viewers across the world,” Mehta was quoted by Variety.

The renowned director also said that the fresh partnership with Netflix will empower him to dive into a variety of undiscovered stories. Meanwhile, Monkika Shergill, VP Content, Netflix India said that Hansal is a master of his craft and has an eye for spotting stories that have a broad appeal.

“Scoop marks yet another success for our series this year and with this partnership we look forward to never seen before stories that audiences will love,” he added.
