Had The Match Happened, Result Was In Our Hands: Shaheen Shah

Pace sensation Shaheen Shah Afridi feels Pakistan was well ahead of arch-rivals India and Men in Green had a better chance to win the game.
Notably, Ind vs Pak Asia Cup clash on September 2 in Kandy was called off due to excessive rain, and both the teams were awarded 1 point each.
In a video uploaded by Pakistan Cricket Board, Shaheen Shah Afridi said that had the match not washed away due to rain, the result was in Pakistan’s hands.
“Had the match happened, the result was in our hands, but we cant do anything about the weather,” Afridi said.
The left-arm pacer also said that Hardik’s wicket was very crucial for his side.
Notably, Hardik Pandy and Ishan Kishan rescued Men in Blue from early tremors and helped the side to post competitive total on board.
“After the big partnership, Hardik Pandya’s wicket was very crucial at that time,” Shaheen added.
Notably, Pakistan pacer was at his best at Kandy as he picked four wickets in a high-voltage clash. Team India was soon reduced to 66-4 as Shaheen and Haris Rauf picked two wickets each to rattle India’s top-order.
