BIG! Gambhir Picks Suryakumar Yadav Over Shreyas Iyer In World Cup 2023 Squad

Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir has dropped Shreyas Iyer and Yuzvendra Chahal from the 2023 World Cup squad.

While doing commentary during India vs Nepal Asia Cup match at Pallekele stadium, Gambhir shared his World Cup 2023 squad and picked Suryakumar Yadav over Shreyas Iyer.

Explaining his decision to drop Shreyas Iyer from the marquee tournament, Gambhir said that he feels Suryakumar Yadav can be lethal for any opponent and has proved his worth in the squad.

Meawhile, Gambhir also included Axar Patel, Washington Sundar and Ravindra Jadeja as spin all-rounders.

As per Gautam Gambhir, Prasidh Krishan, Md. Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and Md. Siraj should be the pacers in the World Cup 2023 squad. Kuldeep Yadav is the specilaist wrist spinner in the Gambhir’s World Cup squad.
