Gambhir Picks Kumble Over Dhoni, Ganguly, Kapil Dev As India’s Best Captain

Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir has picked legendary spinner Anil Kumble as best captain for Team India over world winning captains MS Dhoni, Kapil Dev and Sourav Ganguly.

During his interaction with Vivek Bindra on latter’s YouTube channel, Gambhir was asked to choose the best captain ever and the options included the likes of Kohli, Dhoni, Ganguly and Kapil Dev.

Much to everyone’s surprise, Gambhir ignored them all and picked legendary wrist spinner Anil Kumble as the best captain for Team India.

Speaking of Kumble’s captaincy, the legendary spinner was handed over India’s Test captaincy duties in 2007 and went on to lead the team in 14 matches in the longest format.

However, Kumble could only won three matches out of 14 and lost five. Six matches were ended in draw.

Meanwhile, Gambhir grabbed headlines after his video of flashing middle finger during one of the Asia Cup games in Sri Lank, went viral on social media.

While Gambhir claimed that it was ‘anti-India slogans’ by Pakistani fans from the crowd triggered such reaction from him, a local Sri Lankan journalist refuted Gambhir’s claims.

In his Lankan journalist said that his cousin was sitting at the spot where fans in the crowd were chanting ‘Kohli Kohli’ when Gautam Gambhir passed by at the Pallekele stadium, during Ind vs Pak Asia Cup match.
