Former Real Madrid midfielder Isco Alarcon reveals why named his dog after Lionel Messi. Check here

Former Real Madrid midfielder, Isco Alarcon has taken his admiration for Paris Saint German star Lionel Messi to another level when he recently made an interesting revelation.

The Spaniard, who is currently a free agent, had recently got the bad news as Union Berlin called off their deal to sign Alarcon as the ‘previous deal exceeded its limits.’

Meanwhile, Alarcon recently revealed that why he had named his dog after Argentinian skipper Lionel Messi.

“I named by dog ‘Messi’ because Messi is the best in the world, and so is my dog,” Isco confessed in 2013. However, Isco has now claimed that it was his father and brother’s idea to name the pet after legendary strikers.

“I am cleaning my hands with naming the dog after Messi. I am Madridista and that’s that. I don’t walk him anymore; Imagine me calling him Messi in the streets,” Metro.co.uk quoted Isco.

Earlier, 30-year-old was spotted in Berlin arriving for his medical check at the sports medicine department of the Charite hospital.

The midfielder was available as a free agent after agreeing with Sevilla in December to cancel his contract less than five months after he joined the club. Isco scored one goal in 19 appearances across all competitions for Sevilla.
