DHARAMSHALA: India’s run chase was temporarily halted in Dharamshala due to dense fogg, causing both teams to leave the field.

The interruption during this highly anticipated World Cup 2023 group stage match triggered a frenzy on Twitter as fans reacted to the situation.

In the match, India had a strong start, with Rohit Sharma (46) and Shubman Gill (26) putting up a 71-run partnership for the first wicket.

However, both batsmen were dismissed by Lockie Ferguson in the 12th and 14th over, respectively. Currently, Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer are at the crease, steadily progressing in the run chase.

In the first innings, New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell played a spectacular innings, scoring 130 runs, while Rachin Ravindra contributed 75.

However, the highlight of the innings was Mohammed Shami, who made his World Cup 2023 debut in Dharamshala and took five crucial wickets. Shami dismissed Will Young (17), Rachin Ravindra (75), Daryl Mitchell (130), Mitchell Santner (1), and Matt Henry (0), making a significant impact on the match.
