Ex-Pak PM Imran Khan Gets 3-Year Jail In Toshkhana Case; Barred From Active Politics

Islamabad: Former Pakistan Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan has been found guilty in Toshakhana caase and has been sentenced to three years in jail.
As per reports, PTI Chairman has been arrested from his Zamam Park house in Lahore. Also, Islamabad Court has barred him from participating in active politics for five years.
70-year-old – also a world-cup winning captain – is accused of profiting from selling expensive state gifts when he was in power.
On Friday, Pakistan’s Supreme Court dismissed Imran Khan’s plea against trial proceedings observing that the application seeking transfer of the case to another court was underway in the Islamabad High Court.
The court also imposed Rs. 100,000 fine on Imran Khan adding that he would be kept in jail for another six months if failed to pay the fine.
Meanwhile, heavy police force has been deployed outside Imran Khan’s house and traffic has been blocked at Zaman Park road.
