Ahead of 2024 Lok Sabha elections, OM Prakash Rajbhar, the Chief of Suhledev Bhartiya Samaj Party and Ex-ally of Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh, has re-joined BJP, on Sunday, July 16.
Taking to Twitter, Rajbhar shared a picture with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and BJP Chief JP Nadda.
Meanwhile, Amit Shah said that ‘arrival of Rajbhar will strengthen the NDA in Uttar Pradesh.’
Was sacked from BJP for anti-alliance activities:
While Rajbhar’s SBSP had fought the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly election in alliance with the BJP and served as minister in the Yogi Adityanath-led cabinet till 2019, but was sacked for anti-alliance activities.
Joined Akhilesh Yadav, but..
Rajbhar then fought the 2022 Assembly election in alliance with Samajwadi Party and handed big jolt BJP in the parts of ‘poorvanchal’ during the 2022 state polls. However, last year, he broke his alliance with SP.
