Nuh Violence: Demolition Continues On ‘Illegal Structures’ After Communal Clashes In Haryana

Haryana: Days after deadly-clashes erupted in Haryana’s Nuh district, officials have continued to carry on the demolition of ‘illegally’ constructed establishments and buildings.

While addressing the media, Sub Divisional Magistrate of Nuh Ashwini Kumar informed that 45 illegal structures and 13-15 temporary illegal structures were bulldozed near the Nalhar Medical College on Saturday.

This has been done on the direction of CM Manohar Lal Khattar. The encroachment was spread across 2.5 acres. All of it was illegal construction. It has been found that some of these people had involvement in the recent clashes,” Kumar said.

A day earlier, 250 shanties of ‘illegal immigrants’ were demolished in Tauru located in Haryana’s Nuh district. The police revealed that demolished shanties belonged to alleged illegal immigrants from Bangladesh.

Meanwhile, Narender Birjaniya, OSD to ADGP (Law) Mamta Singh, told the media that demolitions have been carried out on structure that were illegal.

You cannot have an illegal structure and use it to hamper law and order,” he said.

The deadly-clashes that erupted during Shobha Yatra in Haryana took away the lives of six people including two home guards and a cleric.
