Delhi || Minor stabbed by ex-boyfriend for refusing to marry, held

In a shocking turn of events, a minor girl was allegedly stabbed by a boy on Sunday afternoon in south east Delhi’s Badarpur area, after she ended her relationship and refused to marry him.

The police said that girl was attacked by the accused for refusing to marry him. The incident took place around 1 PM when the victim was at her friend’s house in Molarband Extension. According to police, the victim and the accused were in a relationship for the last four years.

But when the girl recent ended the relationship and refused to marry him, the accused attacked the girl. The girl sustained severe injuries on her neck and head during the assault, and she was immediately rushed to the AIIMS Trauma Cetre for treatment.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Rajesh Deo informed that the accused was arrested using technical surveillance and CCTV footage. Meanwhile, the case has been registered under Section 307 (murder attempt), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 452 (house trespass after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restrain) of the Indian Penal Code.
