Delhi Court Grants Two-Day Interim Bail To Brij Bhushan Singh In Sexual Harassment Case

New Delhi: A Delhi high court on Tuesday granted two-day interim bail to BJP MP and WFI Chief Brij Bhushan Singh in connected with allegations of sexual harassment by India’s top notch wrestlers.

The interim bail was granted on bonds of Rs. 25,000 each. The bail was also granted to WFI Assistant Secretary Vinod Tomar.

Brij Bhushan alleged media trail:

As reported by India Today, Brij Bhushan took an exception to the chargesheet being reported verbatism and also alleged media trail in court.

The court responded by stating that an appropriate application may be moved. The court will now hear the matter on Thursday.

What’s the matter?

India’s top-seeded wrestlers have been protesting against Brij Bhushan Singh after alleging him of sexually harassing several women wrestlers during his tenure as WFI Chief.

Protestors have held sitting-in protest at New Delhi’s Jantar Mantar demanding immediate arresting of Singh. However, after the intervention of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and assurance form sports minister Anurag Thakur, protestors called off their protest.
