Delhi CM Calls Emergency Meet; Police Imposes Section 144 In Flood-Prone Area

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal called for an emergency meeting after Yamuna River swelled over 207.55 metres on Wednesday afternoon.

Notably, water level in Yamuna River breached all-time record of 207.49 metres, going beyond the figures of 1978, 207.49 and is likely to rise more.

As the national capital fears flood-like situation, Delhi CM is all set to hold meeting at the Delhi secretariat where senior officers of all departments concerned will be present.

Meanwhile, Delhi Police imposed section 144 CrPC as a precautionary measure in the flood-prone areas in Delhi.
