Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Writes Letter To HM Amit Shah; Flags Flood Fear

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has written letter to the Union Home Minister Amit Shah requesting him to ask Haryana government to limit the release of water from Hathnikund barrage.
Notably, rain has stopped in the national capital but still the water level in Yamuna is rising as the high volume of water is being released from Haryana’s Hathnikund barrage.
The water level in Yamuna breached the danger mark on Wednesday as it crossed 207 metres mark, triggering alarming situation in the national capital.
The Delhi Chief Minister also held a emergency meeting with the senior officials and discussed the preparation for the flood-like situation. Meanwhile, Delhi Police imposed section 144 in the flood-prone areas.
