Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Seeks Help From Indian Army And NDRF As Yamuna Floods ITO

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has sought help from Indian Army and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) as the Yamuna flooded ITO – the busiest traffic intersection in New Delhi.

The Chief Minister also inspected the spot at Vikas Bhawan, ITO where a drainage regulator was damaged. Areas in ITO and Rajghat have been submerged on Friday as drain regulator suffered damage near Indraprastha.

Meanwhile, Delhi Cabinet Minster Saurabh Bharadwaj informed that teams have been working since night at regulator of drain no. 12 near WHO building.

Still, the water of Yamuna is entering the city through this breach. The government has directed the chief secretary to take it up on highest priority,” Delhi Cabinet Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj tweeted.
