New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi ‘Modi’ Defamation Case: Congress Says ‘Questions Will Continue’
Coming, said Congress after Supreme Court of India stayed Rahul Gandhi’s conviction in ‘Modi surname’ defamation case on Friday. Taking to Twitter, Congess’ official twitter handle wrote;
“आ रहा हूं… सवाल जारी रहेंगे (coming..questions will continue).”
Notably, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was convicted on charges of defamation by a Gujarat Court for his remarks about the ‘Modi’ surname. The court had earlier sentenced Rahul Gandhi to two years in jail, following which he was disqualified from the Lok Sabha as a Member of Parliament.
Paving the way for Rahul Gandhi to return to Parliament, Supreme Court held his conviction in the case.
