Social Media: Union Minster Smriti Irani has taken a sly dig at the Congress over grand old party’s ‘RaGa Irani’ tweet on Saturday, July 29 and claimed that she has come a long way politically for the grand old party to tweet incessantly’ about her.
Notably, Congress on Saturday took a jibe at the Union Minister for Women and Child Development posting a cryptic post with ‘RaGa Irani’ tweet.
Congress’ tweet was an attempt to poke fun of the minister after she accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for provoking violence in Manipur.
In response, BJP leader and Member of Parliament from Amethi wrote;
“From Smriti who ? To राग ईरानी ! It seems I’ve come a long way politically for the grand old party to tweet incessantly about me. Seems someone somewhere is perturbed p.s.- it’s spelt इरानी”
On Wednesday, Congress MP Amee Yajnik pointed a question towards BJP as to why women ministers are not speaking up on Manipur. In response, Union Minister Smriti Irani enabled her furious mode and said;
“When will you have the guts to discuss Chhattisgarh, when will you have the courage to discuss what is happening in Bihar? When will you have the courage to tell how women are raped in Congress-ruled states. When will you have the guts to tell how Rahul Gandhi put Manipur on fire. Do not cast a doubt on the women ministers of the cabinet,” she said.
