Canada: Canada on Monday expelled a top Indian diplomate soon after the Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused India of killing Pro-Khalistani terrorist, Hardeep Singh Nijjar, in June.
Trudeau said that Canada’s security agencies are probing the alleged murder of Nijjar and have found a ‘credible link’ with the Indian government.
Following Trudeau’s remark, Canadian Foreign Minister Mealnie Joly said that the head of Indian intelligence in Canada has been expelled.
“If proven true, this would be a great violation of our sovereignty and of the most basic rule of how countries deal with each other. As a consequence, we have expelled a top India diplomate,” Joly said in an official press briefing.
