Big! Cabinet Clears Women’s Reservation Bill In Key Meet: Report

New Delhi: In a significant development, the Women’s Reservation Bill was cleared in a key Cabinet Meeting chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
As reported by the India Today, official announcement regarding the same is still awaited. The Cabinet Meeting was called at 6:30 PM after the first sitting of the special Parliament session.

What is Women’s Reservation Bill?
The bill guarantees a 33 per cent quota for women in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies.
The cabinet meeting was chaired by PM Modi and was attended by Union Minister Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Pralhad Joshi, S Jaishankar, Nirmala Sitharaman, Dharmendra Pradhan, Nitin Gadkari and Arjun Ram Meghwal among others.
