Brij Bhushan singh Molested, Stalked and Sexually Harassed, Liable To Prosecuted: Delhi Police

Delhi Police in its chargesheet has claimed that Wrestling Federation of India president Brij Bhushan Singh is ‘liable to be prosecuted and punished for offences’ of sexual harassment, molestation and stalking.

As reported by The Indian Express, Delhi Police mentioned in its chargesheet, dated June 13, that in one case, Singh’s harassment was ‘repeated and continuing.’

Notably, singh, in two cases has been booked under Sections 354, 354A and 354D, while in four cases sections are 354 and 354A – confirming the prison time of up to five years.

Delhi Police requests court to summon Singh:

The chargesheet reviewed by The Indian Express, suggested that Delhi Police has requested the court to summon Brij Bhushan Singh and the witnesses.

“The accused may please be summoned to face trail and witnesses named in the list of witness appended with the chargesheet may be called for their examination along with documents mentioned with their names,” the daily publication quoted excerpts of the chargesheet.

The chargesheet also mentioned that the investigators spoke to 108 witnesses of whom 15, including the wresters, coaches and referees, aligned themselves with the allegations made by the wrestlers.

Singh denied allegations:

As per annexure in the chargesheet, Brij Bhushan Singh denied all allegations and claimed he had never met the wrestlers and didn’t have their phone numbers.
