Bodies of two minor brothers abducted from Rajasthan recovered from New Delhi, two held

New Delhi: Three minor brothers – the bodies of two and one alive – were recovered from a jungle behind Qutub Minar metro station in New Delhi on October 17 (Monday). Delhi police have confirmed the arrest of two suspects in the case who have reportedly confessed to the murder of two.
According to Ms Chandan Choudhary, Deputy commissioner of police (South district), an initial inquiry has suggested that the accused were seeking to receive a handsome amount of ransom money from the parents of the kids. “Initial interrogation in the case has shown the accused belong to the weaker section of the society. They are among the neighbours of the victim family and belong to a weaker section of the society,” DCP told The Quotes. The officer further informed that the recovered kid was ‘absolutely fine’ and responding well.
“While local police in Rajasthan were investigating the case, a ransom call was received in which the accused informed about murdering the kids and dumped them nearby Qutub Minar in New Delhi. Accordingly, a crime branch team travelled to New Delhi, and with the assistance of South District police, bodies of two kids and a boy were recovered alive,” informed DCP, South Delhi. Further investigation in the case is underway.
