Big || BCCI to invest crores to revamp five major stadiums ahead of ODI World Cup 2023

Following series of criticism over the facilities in cricket stadiums and eying high-stake ICC ODI World Cup 2023, later next year, the BCCI is planning massive renovation of at-least five major stadiums in India.
As reported by PTI, Arun Jaitley stadium in Delhi and other venues in Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mohali and Mumbai have been identified.
Reportedly, the project is expected to cost Rs. 100 crores to revamp the Delhi, stadium, Rs. 117.7 crore for Hyderabad, Rs. 127.47 crore for the iconic Eden Gardens at Kolkata, Rs. 79.46 crore for the ageing PCA stadium in Mohali and Rs. 78.82 crore for Wankhede.
Reports have also hinted that costs will increase drastically if roof work is involved.
Meanwhile, twelve venues have been shortlisted to host World Cup games as they include Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Dharamshala, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Indore, Rajkot and Mumbai.
A total of 48 games will be played in the 46-day ICC event. Earlier, when India hosted the ICC event Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led side lifted the prestigious trophy.
