Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar Azad Shot At In UP’s Saharanpur; Condition Not Serious

Chandrashekhar Azad, the Chief of the Bhim Army, was hit by a bullet shell after an unidentified men launched an attack his convoy in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur on Wednesday.

He was reportedly rushed to a nearby hospitals for treatment. Reportedly, the Bhim Army Chief was in Saharanpur to attend a ritual at a supporter’s home. India Today has reported that the attack happened when Azad left the spot in his Toyota Fortuner. Watch the visuals from ground zero.

The convoy of Chandrashekhar Azad was fired at by a few car-borne armed men. A bullet brushed past him. He is alright and has been taken to CHC for medical treatment. Police is investigating the matter,” SSP Dr. Vipin Tada told ANI (Quoted by India Today).

Attackers came in white Maruti Swift Dzire:

Reports stated that the attackers arrived in white Maruti Swift Dzire with a Haryana license plate and fired four rounds at Chandrashekhar Azad – leaving him injured. However, his medical condition is not serious.

My people identified them: Azad

While speaking to ANI, Chandrashekhar said that he does not remember the incident well but his people identified the attackers. “I don’t remember well but my people identified them. Their car went towards Saharanpur. We took a U-Turn. Five of us, including my younger brother, were in the car when the incident occurred,” he told ANI.
