BCCI Slams PCB For Miscommunication Over Invitation For Asia Cup; Jay Shah Will Not Travel Pakistan

BCCI secretary and president of the Asia Cricket Council Jay Shah will not travel Pakistan before, during or after Asia Cup 2023. While the chair pf PCB’s management committee Zaka Ashraf said that he has invited Shah to Pakistan for the Asia Cup 2023 but BCCI refuted any such claims.

As reported by Cricbuzz, both the parties discussed the Aisa Cup and the hybrid model but no invitations were exchanged.

We discussed the Asia Cup, and the hybrid model received approval. But there was no such thing as an invitation to each other,” BCCI source told Cricbuzz.

Meanwhile, Arun Singh Dhumal, the BCCI representative to the ICC’s CEC meeting, categorically denied any such possibility and said;

Mr. Shah has not agreed to any invitation and will not be travelling to Pakistan,” the IPL Chairman, who is in Durban said.

Also, Pakistan has now agreed to the hybrid model – four matches in Pakistan and rest in Sri Lanka – for Asia Cup 2023 and official schedule is likely to be out on July 14.
