RAJASTHAN: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has voiced his support for Israel’s actions in Gaza during the ongoing Hamas conflict, characterizing it as a robust response to what he perceives as a “Talibani mentality.”
Addressing a public gathering in Rajasthan, Adityanath drew parallels between the Israel-Hamas situation and suggested that only Lord Hanuman’s divine mace could effectively deal with the Taliban.
He went on to commend Israel for its precise and targeted approach in addressing what he termed the “Talibani mentality” in Gaza.
“Dekh rahe hain na is samay Gaza mein Israel Talibani mansikta ko kaise kuchalne ka kaam kar raha hain.. Satik tarike se bilkul satik nishana maar maar kar kuchal raha hain (See how Israel is currently working to crush the Taliban mentality in Gaza… They are hitting their targets accurately and precisely),” UP CM said.
The remarks come in the context of the Israel-Hamas conflict, which began when Hamas militants launched a significant attack on Israel from the Gaza Strip on October 7.
The ensuing violence has led to a substantial loss of life, with over 1,400 reported casualties and the capture of at least 239 individuals by Hamas.
In response, Israel has conducted retaliatory airstrikes in Gaza, resulting in the reported deaths of more than 8,500 people, as claimed by the health ministry under Hamas control.
